19-Year Old Scholarship Recipient and Folsom High School Alum Attends 2-Year Fire Science Program at Sierra College in Rocklin

Last Updated 1/7/2020

Meg, a recent graduate from Folsom High School, applied in the Spring of 2019 for a scholarship from us.  She has been attending Sierra College in Rocklin as a student in their Fire Science program.

In May of 2018, she was accepted to the Mentor Program through Sacramento Metro Fire and has also been working on her EMT license.

Meg with her mom and little sister also volunteer with HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team) of Folsom by distributing information and supplies to local homeless individuals.

Meg was awarded a $5,000 scholarship to use towards purchasing multiple dress and PE uniforms, boots, a new belt, and transportation from Folsom to Roseville, Rocklin and Grass Valley.

She will be graduating in May of 2020, and she's considering applying to Paramedic school and we would be excited to support her in this new endeavor.  She is welcome to apply for financial support for that program as well!
